Our vision at Shavano Baptist Church is all about growing God’s family – making every person count. Some of the ways we are able to carry out this vision is through the ministries we have in place.  Here are just a few examples of what we're up to.

Women's Ministries

One of the ministries many of the ladies of Shavano Baptist Church are involved in is our   "Ties That Bind" Prayer Quilt Ministry.  Want to know what else we're up to or find out how you can be part of what's going on?  Just click here to email us, or call the church office and leave a message for Sue.

Kid's Club

Kid's Club is our church's version of a "Back Yard Bible Club." The difference is instead of having the kids come to our "back yard", we go to theirs!   We meet at the Woodhill Apartments on Woodstone Drive the third Saturday of every month for Bible time, crafts, games and a puppet show.  If you would like to be a part of this ministry or learn more about it, just contact the church office at (210) 696-0826 and speak with Pastor Dave.

Children's Church

One of the ways we are able to minister to our children is through our Children's Church ministry.  The children meet during the regular worship service on Sunday mornings. We currently offer classes for children ages 4 - 6, and ages 7 and up. We also have a staffed nursery available during that time for infants through 3 year olds.

Adult Bible Study

The whole Bible is God’s inspired word, and a proper understanding of Scripture serves to strengthen our faith in Jesus. This class is at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings and is very appropriate for teens and adults. For more information call the church office at                   (210) 696-0826 and ask for Bill Swanson.

Seniors Bible Study

Pastor Dave teaches a Bible study every Thursday morning at 10 am to the residents at Hamilton House Assisted Living Center on Hamilton Wolfe Rd. in the Medical Center area.    If you would like more information about this Bible study, talk with Pastor Dave.
